Introducing Our Horn Hospital Team
You may be a soloist, but you have an entire band here to support you!
Jim opened Horn Hospital, LLC in 1979. He began his career as a band instrument technician in 1976 as a student at Western Iowa College in Sioux City, Iowa. After finishing the course of study in band instrument repair, Jim took a job as a shop technician with a full-line music store in Enid, Oklahoma. After two years with this company, it was time for Jim to move back east and open Horn Hospital, L.L.C. When not at the shop, Jim can be found in his hangar restoring vintage airplanes.
Jenny came to Horn Hospital, L.L.C. as a shop apprentice in 2001 and is now our main brass flush technician. In addition to brass flushes, Jenny works her magic on our like-new instruments; you’ll swear they are really brand new. Outside of her work at Horn Hospital, L.L.C., Jenny loves spending time with her husband and 3 daughters, riding horses, and doing her various fundraising activities.
Jon began working at Horn Hospital, L.L.C. in 2011. Jon graduated from Messiah College with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business. Jon keeps our store’s website up to date for used instrument sales, changes in new products, and sale specials. He fills phone and website orders, prepares nationwide and international shipments for our web sales, and assists with customer service. Jon is a brass player; his primary instrument is the euphonium, but he also plays the trombone. In his free time, Jon can be found at the local dirt track watching sprint cart races, bowling with friends, or watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jon is also notorious for his sweet tooth.
Keith came to the Horn Hospital, L.L.C. in 1988 as an apprentice and repaired saxophones and brass instruments for 16 years before being deployed to Iraq and later Afghanistan. Keith returned to us recently after retiring from the Army Reserves and his dent work has never been better. When he’s not working, you may occasionally find Keith caning chairs or playing a sitar.
Kim retired after 35 years of teaching band and strings, and joined Horn Hospital, L.L.C. in 2016 as an apprentice. She received her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Susquehanna University and completed graduate work at Duquesne, Villanova, and West Chester Universities. Kim is also a band and orchestral instrument instructor at Horn Hospital, L.L.C. She plays clarinet in the Greater Harrisburg Concert Band, and is also a member of her church’s handbell choir. Kim loves taking long hikes with her husband and visiting their three children. She enjoys gardening, knitting, and spending time at Camp Nawakwa.

Dean received his Bachelor’s of Music Education from Mansfield University and his Master’s in Music Education from Florida State University. He enjoys alpine skiing as a member of the Ski Roundtop 55+ Ski Club. He also spends his free time golfing and exploring Pennsylvania by biking on various rail trails.
