Leblanc and Noblet were originally separate French woodwind manufacturing companies dating back to the mid-eighteenth century. However, the last Noblet, having no heirs, passed on his company to a Mr. G. Leblanc in 1904. Leblanc continued to make clarinets under the Noblet name.<\/p>\n
Leblanc continued to make clarinets under the Noblet name. After World War II, Leblanc established an assembly facility in the USA. Later they started making their student instruments there. Eventually Leblanc decided to move their headquarters from France to the US. This required the permission of the French government but was finally accomplished.<\/p>\n
